Odd’s Cafe in West Asheville hosted 46 of James’ original pieces for the month of March, 2025. He sketched the interior for promotion.
City Light’s Cafe in downtown Sylva offers a wide selection of his prints for sale. One of his best known pieces depicts the view of Sylva from near the cafe’s vantage.
Honey Bear’s Cupcakery celebrated James as the featured artist of their local art hall. He was commissioned to paint the iconic storefront located in Bryson City, NC
The Mountain Laurel Gift Shop and Black Balsam Outdoors on Main Street Sylva are both stocked with prints of James’ landscapes including scenes of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
James is a vendor in the Hometown Heritage Festival in Downtown Franklin, NC
His piece “The Courthouse Sylva, NC” was featured in the multistate art magazine Carolina Muse.
In 2024 Jackson County Arts Council selected James for their featured artist spotlight.
During the holidays James can be found at the Railroad Craft Market located on the patio of Dillsboro’s Innovation Station.
James began the professional side of his career selling prints of his work on the streets of downtown Asheville. From time to time he still runs pop-up stores out of Pack Square in the heart of downtown. Check his social media for the announcement of these.
James participated in The Rotunda Exhibition installed in the historic Jackson County Public Library from December 2023 to February 2024 and was viewed by hundreds of visitors throughout that time.
James is a regular vendor at nationally renowned Greening Up the Mountains Festival held in the springtime in Historic Downtown Sylva.
James joined Love Asheville From Afar, a program launched to help WNC businesses in the wake of hurricane Helene.
